Nominations
The PSAL Wingate Award recognizes the most outstanding student-athletes in their respective sports.
The time has arrived to nominate senior candidates for the Fall PSAL Wingate Award. All fall coaches will be allowed to nominate any senior student-athlete (within their division) they deem worthy of this honor. Once nominations are closed, a committee comprised of PSAL Commissioners, Coordinators and staff will select an award winner in each sport. Fall Sport Nominations will commence on Thursday, November 15, 2012 and conclude on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. Coaches and Commissioners may submit nominations electronically by clicking on "STAFF" located at the bottom of the PSAL.org “Home Page” (http://www.psal.org/) and then click on either coach or commissioner.   Your “User Name” is your last name, and your “Password” remains whatever you have chosen as your password. Once you have entered your user name and password, you will have access to nominate a candidate for the PSAL-Wingate Award. 
When nominating a candidate, the nominating coach must add supporting documentation to the nominee's PLAYER PROFILE on the PSAL website. This will enable the selection committee to make a decision based on the student-athlete’s achievements. Examples of appropriate documentation are:

• The specific records of accomplishment in the PSAL program.
• The number of years on the team
• Outstanding athletic achievements and awards
• The team's accomplishments

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATIONS

• The candidate must be graduating in January or June of his/her senior year.
• The candidate must remain eligible for the entire season of his/her graduating year.
• The candidate must have a minimum of two full years of participation in the PSAL in his/her sport.
• The candidate must exhibit the qualities of good sportsmanship and character
