Tottenville junior lacrosse star Alex Becerra has been named a 2013 Brine National High School All-American and has been selected to represent the Long Island, South Region at the 2013 Brine National All-American Lacrosse Classic in Boyds, Md., from June 30 to July 3.
The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top high school lacrosse players in the country to one venue, where regional teams will compete to become the 2013 National Champion.
Becerra, who was named an Advance All Star last year as a sophomore, led the Pirates to the PSAL Championship division title last year as the defenseman spearheaded a Pirate squad that allowed just 3.25 goals per game in the regular season and never let an opponent tally more than eight goals in any game
